Note: When juicing citrus fruits it is highly recommended that you remove the outer skin first

Limes are handy for adding to vegetable juices to make them more palatable, and they can also be used to add a kick to fruit juices. Lime juice is also helpful in detoxifying and cleansing the body. It is also rich in vitamin C, and the antioxidants can neutralise free radicals that can cause ageing and cancer.

Lime juice has also been said to relieve indegestion by adding to the acidic pH of the stomach, and so can help to break down food. It can also make the digestive system healthier and cleaner and therefore can lead to a faster metabolism.

The vitamin C found in lime juice can be beneficial for your eyes and vision, as it can make your vision clearer and protect your eyes from ageing. Limes are also good for the lungs, and can be used to treat athsma – the flavonoids that are found in limes are used in things like inhalers.
