Juicing Blackcurrants

Juicing Blackcurrants

Putting blackcurrants in your juice can provide you with one of the finest sources of Vitamin C, which is great for your immune system, fighting infections and breaking down mucus. Blackcurrants also contain bioflavanoids and anthocyanidins which are powerful antioxidants to help strengthen your ability to fight infection and disease. The bioflavanoids are helpful in protecting blood vessels and capillaries from oxidative damage. This plays a part in weakening the ageing process, as connective tissues in the body can be strengthened.

Blackcurrants are antibacterial and can help neuralise unfriendly bacteria, for example during bouts of diarrhoea caused by foreign bacteria.

As well as vitamin C, blackcurrants also contain beta carotene, potassium, calcium, magnesium and phophorus.
